Privacy Policy

Loquiva (“we”, “us”) runs the AI English conversation service at loquiva.talk. You can reach us about anything in this policy at support@loquiva.talk.

We collect the following information to operate the Service:

• Account information: email address and encrypted password when you register.
• Your voice: processed in real time so your companion can understand you. We do not record or store audio.
• Conversation content: the text of your conversations is used to generate replies, and memories drawn from it are stored to power your companion's memory across sessions.
• Camera images: only if you turn the camera on during a conversation. Images are sent to our AI provider so your companion can see them, and are not stored by us.
• Usage and progress data: session time, settings, relationship progress, correction counts and practice results.
• Payment information: handled entirely by our payment provider, Paddle. We never see or store your card details.
• Technical data: browser type, device type, approximate timezone, and, if you allow Companion Calls, a notification address for your device.

Your data is used only to operate and improve Loquiva:

• Running conversations with your AI companion, including speech recognition and voice.
• Powering your companion's memory so they remember your conversations over time.
• Showing your progress and practice results.
• Delivering Companion Calls, if you turn them on.
• Managing your account and subscription.
• Keeping the Service safe and preventing abuse.
• Improving the quality of our AI companions and correction system.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your conversations for advertising. We do not share your data with anyone except the service providers listed below, or where the law requires it.

Loquiva relies on the service providers below. They are located in the countries listed, which may be different from the country where you live, so using Loquiva means your data is transferred to these countries. Each receives only what it needs for its task, and all transfers are sent over encrypted connections.

Refusing these transfers: these transfers are necessary to provide Loquiva, so the Service cannot work without them. You can refuse at any time by stopping use of the Service and asking us to delete your account at support@loquiva.talk. If you refuse, you will no longer be able to use Loquiva.

Your account data and your companion's memories are stored in the United States (North Virginia). Our conversation server is in Germany (Nuremberg). Data is encrypted in transit, and access to user data is strictly limited to what is needed to run the Service.

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where a law requires us or our payment provider to keep certain records, such as tax records.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; ask us to stop or limit certain processing; withdraw consent; and request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@loquiva.talk. We will reply without undue delay.

Loquiva uses only essential session cookies required for sign-in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Loquiva is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Privacy matters and complaints are handled by the Loquiva Team: support@loquiva.talk. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a notice in the Service.
